Koshikake/腰掛
A wooden stool believed to have been made during Japan's Showa period.The thick seat, with one edge gently chamfered, rests on outward-angled legs that give it a distinctive stance.
Constructed entirely with traditional joinery and without the use of nails,it was likely used in daily life as a small seat for children, a step, or a flower stand.
The surface bears a soft sheen, wear, and fine scratches from long years of use, traces that convey the warmth and quiet passage of time.
昭和期に作られたとみられる木製のスツール。
厚みのある座面は片方が大きく面がとられ、外側に開いた脚が特徴です。
釘を使わずに木組みで仕上げられた造りで、子供の腰掛けや踏み台、花台など、暮らしの中の様々な場面で使われてきたものだと思います。
長年の使用により、天板には艶や擦れ、細かな傷が刻まれ、過ごしてきた時間の温もりが伝わってきます。
